Keeping Treasured Baby Keepsakes and Records


For most parents, especially first time parents! Keeping certain items from your child's life tends to be of significant value to you as parents and to the baby when he/she is all grown up! We have the traditional baby keepsakes and the 'new age' parenting ones! lol..

When my son was born, I went out looking for a 'Baby Record Book' where I could record certain milestones and comments about his development. To my splendour, I found one which would cover a time span of his first five years with a strong storage case that has compartments for suggested physical momentous!

This book was like everything I wanted plus a bag of chips!


The case has compartments to keep his hospital tag, first tooth, lock of hair, first bootie and hat, CD's/DVD's of his baby pictures and videos. How cool is that?! And well of course you can store any other momentous that can fit in it as well.

The book was really great too! The front cover has a slot on the inside to put a picture to show so you can really personalise the book for your little one with his/her own picture on it! The book has a family tree where you can input the names of both parents' family, it has a page to stick in a copy of his birth certificate and even a page to print his lil hands and feet in it (using non-toxic type paint I guess!).

It also has places to write about the significant events that happened the year your child was born. Record the time of birth, hospital, paediatrician, gynaecologist, weight, height, head size and all his firsts milestones!!! In all, I was pretty impressed and happy with this book!

Don't think I'm being biased towards the boys only. This lovely book also comes in pink for baby girls! I'm planning to buy a baby girl's one to put down for when my daughter decides to come along *wink wink*

Now I've talked about the baby momentous that this book keeps. Now I'll share some of what I kept in my son's book! So I kept the following items:-

• Both his hospital bracelets and mines
• His first pacifier
• His first plane ticket stub
• His umbilical cord
• One pamper in every size he's used and grown out of (yes, they fit snug in the box!)
